Welcome to St. Cross Wilstone

Image of St. Cross Church

Wilstone is a small village about two miles north of Tring in Hertfordshire.

We, at St. Cross Wilstone, together with our friends at St. Mary's Puttenham and All Saints' Long Marston form the 'Vale' group of churches within the Tring Team Ministry whose Rectorship is currently vacant. Tring is a parish in The Diocese of St. Albans

The Church is in the centre of the village, opposite the shop and the old forge (now a private residence) and within sight of the ‘Half Moon’

Our worship is a mixture of old and modern, with one service per month based on the Church of England's 'Common Worship' (CW)and three services each month taken from the 'Book of Common Prayer' (BCP). The pattern is as follows.

First Sunday in each Month 6.30 p.m. Book of Common Prayer Evensong (Normally with music)
Second Sunday in each Month

6.30 p.m. Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion (Normally with music)
Third Sunday in each Month 10.0 a.m. Holy Communion, based on Common Worship (Usually spoken)
Fourth Sunday in each Month
6.30 p.m. Book of Common Prayer Evensong (Normally with music)
Fifth Sunday in each Month On fifth Sundays there will normally be a Common Worship Communion at 10.0 a.m. at St. Peter and St. Paul's Church Tring plus a service at one of the village churches But it is probably advisable to contact one of the churchwardens in order to be sure where and at what time the service will be.
